A Meeting with the Dead.

 
 
Yacka and Jamestown, South Australia :: 27 April 2013
 
1. War Memorial (WWI), Yacka, where we paid our respects to Samuel & Henry Gale.
2. Henry & Elizabeth Gale, my great-great-great grandparents.

    1. Not all. :( Elizabeth & Henry's children (those that died young) are listed as having been buried in the Yacka cemetery too, but their exact plots are unknown. I suspect they are in the same plot as their parents since not one has a site of their own. A fair assumption, right?

  2. The more historical parts of (country) cemeteries are so interesting.

    1. Interesting, yes, but also frustrating, especially when there are unmarked graves and unknown plots. Still, they are always in the most amazing location, usually set atop a hill with the most splendid views of the surrounding countryside. Not a bad place to spend eternity, I suppose. :)
